Future or Movement? The L2 Acquisition of Aller + V Forms

This study aims to advance the understanding of impact discursive context in form-function mappings aller + V forms by native speakers (NSs) and learners French (NNSs), further knowledge about developmental patterns use such at three proficiency levels (lower intermediate, upper advanced). While is often referred as a periphrastic future form, i.e., way express temporal reference, it also takes range diverse semantic values (including spatial, aspectual, modal values), functions. We therefore set out examine data from cross-sectional oral narrative longitudinal semi-guided interview task find what extent are used NSs NNSs abroad context. Our main results show that lower intermediate level, spatial dominate, while emerge advanced levels.
